What drives wage gaps in Europe?

Check out the summary of the conference of the European Trade Union Institute focusing on wage convergence in the central and eastern European (CEE) countries, which took place on 25 January at the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels.

According to Martin Myant, retired Chief Economist of ETUI, nominal wages in CEE are lower than the productivity level due to the business strategy of the multinationals (MNCs) operating in the region.
